Wooooow! First of all, thank you to everyone who came to our 1st event. What a great time we had 😊 Not only did we celebrate Gonnabesick Parties' 10th Bday, we also raised money for Mind the mental health charity AND brought hundreds of people together! Dancing, laughing and bimbling about! (almost like a real festival!)
So... WE'RE BACK! and this time, it just so happens to be... Cirque de la Quirk's 6th Birthday! ❤ What better excuse 😜
Early Bird Tickets are on sale now (for just £3!) get yours here - www.gonnabequirk.com
For those who didn't get to attend the last one, here's some helpful info:
You’ll be transported to high-capacity, immersive and interactive world, where people are free to walk around a huge 2d festival site, checking out the entertainment, and meeting and chatting with old and new friends along the way.
GonnaBeSick and Cirque de la Quirk will each be hosting stages with stellar line ups, and there will be plenty of other places to find, spectacles to watch and treats to get involved in… exploration is encouraged! 👀👀👀
We're taking the opportunity to also raise awareness of the loneliness and isolation that so many people are struggling with in these difficult times. There are many people struggling with lockdown. Perhaps you have friends you haven’t heard from for a while… give them a call! Obviously, we’d love for them to join us, but either way, they might just be happy to hear from you ❤
We're also still going to be raising funds for Mind, the mental health charity. They offer information and support to anyone struggling with any mental health issues. Check them out at www.mind.org.uk
Please note, this event is intended for over 18’s only.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED ON THE DAY:
The virtual festival site requires a Laptop/PC or Mac running the Chrome browser, with a webcam and microphone, and obviously an internet connection! Mobile phones and tablets are not supported. You will also need headphones or quiet speakers to avoid ruining everyone else’s experience with the sound of feedback! If you want to get up close to the music and crank the volume up, you just need to mute your microphone... but be aware that if you don’t do this, other people will start muting you - and if you’re a repeat offender, we may be forced to remove you from the event.
If you're feeling a bit shy you can always cover your camera, as well as mute yourself. When you're close to the stage you can try and talk over the music (it's not easy, anyway) so mute yourselves or others will beat you to it! Or you can walk away from the stage and find a quiet spot to have a chat with people.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
*Dress up in your best festival garms
*Be kind to people and treat everyone with respect.
*Don’t be a jerk at Gonna Be Quirk (anyone who is not following this last rule can and will be immediately removed and banned!)
SEE YOU ON SATURDAY 6th MARCH! ❤😁❤
Check out this little test run of the platform from before our first gig!
The actual venue is a full festival site, 16x bigger than this!
